Mindfulness is the practice of breathing, relaxing, sensing, observing your thoughts, feelings, sensations and behaviours and choosing effective ways of looking after yourself.

I have studied Transactional Analysis  psychotherapy which is a humanistic and integrative approach. It is relational, body centered, emphatic, classical, analytical, re-delusional,  transferential,  co-constructed, spiritual and cognitive. Deeper issues that relate to childhood benefit from long term support. Issues such as depression, relationship issues, addictions, obsessions, PTSD, anxiety disorders, phobias, and somatic issues.I offer mindfulness as a tool to facilitate  and support changes, develop self efficacy, coping skills and strengthen stability.

    Past trauma is held in our tissues and our minds.
    Breathing, tension/holding patterns, pain, digestion and health are affected by our past, thinking, emotions and behavioural patterns. My work as a therapist includes an awareness of what is happening to you that you may not be aware of of have some awareness and the transference that occurs in my body as useful information for our work in therapy and supervision.

    Coaching is tailor-made to your needs for practical, everyday ways of reconnecting your mind and body. We work through the 8 week MBSR experiential program practicing the meditations and movements as well as developing intimacy with how your mind works. You will gain knowledge of being in the moment, acceptance, self-compassion and awareness. Mindfulness Coaching is the way to learn the skill of mindfulness one to one, especially useful if you do not available for the 8 week evening class.  Most people feel the benefit within 10 minutes of their session. The skills are developed over 6 sessions, with journalling of experiences and daily practice.

    Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a scientifically proven and recommended by N.I.C.E. and the NHS to reduce stress, stress related health issues, anxiety and depression.

    I (Belinda) have over 30 years of experience in meditation,  complementary health & stress reduction coaching and over 12 years training and experience in Integrative humanistic Psychotherapy. I have trained Transactional Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural therapy and Cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy, Mindfulness based stress reduction, Mindfulness based Cognitive therapy and Mindfulness based childbirth and parenting. I abide by the mindfulnet.org guidelines and ethical framework in professional qualifications and training.

    I am in supervision for Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy and Mindfulness Based Interventions as per the guidelines of my governing bodies.
